Accessibility Policy
Last Updated Apr 9, 2025

1 . Purpose
Collinear builds software that enterprises rely on to assess and improve AI systems. Because our users and their customers include people with diverse abilities, we commit to making every Collinear experience perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust.
2. Scope
This policy applies to:
- Product software – all web apps, APIs with web UIs, dashboards, PDF/CSV exports, and in‑product notifications.
- Public‑facing content – collinear.ai and any microsites, blogs, marketing pages, videos, and docs portals we host.
- Customer communications – emails, slide decks, knowledge‑base articles, and in‑app help.
- Internal tools that affect employee or contractor productivity.
3. Standards
Collinear targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance across the items above
4. Governance & Responsibilities
| Role | Accountability |
|---|---|
| Executive sponsor – CEO | Champions accessibility as a business and ethical imperative; allocates resources and owns policy. |
| Product & Engineering teams | Build features that satisfy WCAG AA; remediate defects within assigned sprints. |
| People & Culture | Ensures all employees complete required training within 6 months of hire. |
5. Process Integration
| Lifecycle stage | Minimum accessibility requirement |
|---|---|
| Requirements | User-stories include WCAG criteria that must pass before “Done” |
| Design | Figma contrast plug-in run; keyboard tab path sketched. |
| Development | Semantic HTML first; ARIA when necessary; code review checklist covers focus order, alternative text, and contrast tokens. |
| Testing | Manual keyboard & screen-reader walk-through of new UI each sprint; full assistive-technology user test once per half. |
| Release | Accessibility issues noted and scheduled for mitigation at next release sprint. |
6. Training
All new hires must finish internal Accessessibility training within 6 months. Quarterly lunch‑and‑learns reinforce best practices.
7. Feedback & Contact
We welcome feedback from all users. Send suggestions, issues, or alternative‑format requests to info@collinear.ai. We respond within five business days and aim to resolve validated defects within one release cycle.
8. Exceptions
Temporary exceptions require written approval from the Executive Sponsor.
9. Review
The Executive Sponsor reviews this policy every 12 months — or sooner if regulations change — and publishes revisions on collinear.ai/accessibility.
